  1. 1.Titbua is a character that I feel the most sympathy for because she was beat just becuase she was blamed for witchcraft when it wasnt really all her.
2.I think the over all mood is worried becuase of all the people that are worried and scared of all the witchcraft going on. I also think becuase of the fact that the girls wont wake up so it has everyone worried.
3.I think it is believeable because you dont know who is putting no sense in their heads and then they go out and have no idea what they are doing if it is witchcraft or anything

  2. 1. Titjuba, because she wasnt doing anything wrong. they were just messing around in the woods. she didnt mean anything by it, and she only confessed to have writing in the devils book and for practicing witch craft so revrund parris would stop beating her and so that she wouldnt have further punishment.
    2. act one is full of drama. he uses the girls crying and the revrund screaming and the town holding the meeting on the account of the girls that can not wake and to tell everyone the devil is in salem.
    3. yes i think the behavior of the tennage girls is beleivable, because teenage girls are always wanting people to love them and causing drama about everything.

  4. 1. Elizabeth, because she has not done anything wrong she was just accused because Abagail wants to be with John Proctor. I also feel sympathy for her because of John and Abagail's affair. This puts more pressure on her.

  5. 1. Elizabeth and John Proctor arouse my sympathy the most because they have no involvment in the witchcraft, but yet they are being accused because abigial wants John all to herself, and now shes trying to kill the woman that John loves.
    2. The overall atmosphere is kind of the begining of all the mess. Where all the girls start to come out, and accuse everyone, where stuff if about to start.
    3. The portrayal of the teenage girls and their behavior is not believeable, becuase i dont understand how girls could be that mean to accuse others of witchcraft and try and ruin a marriage just because abigial wants to have John again.

  6. 2. I think tha Act 1 is full of drama. Miller uses the girls not being able to wake, Abagail threatning all of the girls not to tell on her, and there is so drama between Abagail and John.

  8. 1. Tituba. Tituba is just a humble servent and just did the girls a faor by going out into the woods to dance and help make harmless love spells. She didnt put names in the Devil's book. Shge only confessed so she would stop getting beaten.

  9. 1.) The character that I have the most sympathy for would have to be elizabeth. she's a good person but she is being accused of witchcraft just beacuse she's with john and abigail is jealous. she has done absolutly nothing wrong.
2.) I think the mood of act one is dramatic, because we have dramtic little girls runing all over the woods dancing and casting spells. just full of drama.
3.)I think that millers portrayal of teenage girls can be believable and can't be believable. yes many girls do act like that but many girls also do not act like that. I think the girls in this book were begging for attention and thats why they were acting like that.

  10. 1. I feel the most sympathy towards Tituba. She was beaten because the girls accused her and she had to confess to witchcraft to save her life.
    2. The mood in act 1 is dark. Alot of really creepy stuff happens, like Abigail drinking the blood and the two little girls that won't wake up.
    3. I think Miller did a good job portraying how teenage girls act. Their behaviors are realistic, because most teenage girls are dramatic and crazy.
