the message that miller was trying to give us is that the salem witch trials were really a tragety back then people were not very smart in the way of nature. They were not very organized. Dont believe everything u hear or think because it can bring many problems to u and others.

the judge is static because he does not change. he believes the girls at the start of the movie but then at the end he does not believe them anymore about a certain person. He could have said they had been lie to and that had cause all the problems. But he did not do it because he did not want to be foolish. he was scare of his own life they could have gone againts him if he said it had been his fault too. He could have change be he did not.

  3. 1. Miller wanted us to feel the hysteria of that time in the town of salem, he wanted us to see how easily a community can be manulipated and turned into chaos and deciet. the message is to dont believe evrything you hear, because if u do this can happen.

it would have to be john because he dies for what he believes for. he just wants to save his wife and go home and be with his family. hew does not want any problems. He knows whats wrong he will not live as a liar... i think i would do the same think it would be hard a but i would try my hardest. i try to not get in trouble i dont want problems and thats how he was he did not want problems.

  5. 2. Abagail would be one of thoes static chracters, she never gives in the cries and begs of the town people to tell the truth. She never comes clean and may people die because she doesnt change. John Proctor is one of thoes chracters that are dynamic, at first he wants no one to know about his adultery and does not want to get involved with the court but when elizabeth is arrested he goes back on both of thoes things, confesses and tries to overthrow the court.

they way many people died and how it was started. it had no good reason way. Its also how many people fell in others people lies and did not do anything about it. they did not punish the girls for so many lies.

  7. 1. The message that I got from the play is that the witch trials weren't fair and how the system was broken.

    2. John Proctor is most unchanging in the play. He fought for what he believed and never thought differently. The judge is dynamic. He could have changed his way of thinking the first sign of fraud in the trials.

    3. I'd say John because like him I will fight for what I believe in.

    4. I think the way the play is drawn out and the way it shows how bad the system of Salem was.

    5. Elizabeth, why did you lie to the court about John having an affair with Abigail? I want to know this because she was an honest woman that wouldn't lie.

    6. I enjoyed the play it was highly interesting. I liked how everything played out. I rate this play a 4.5.

My question would go to abigail...
Why did you and the other girls start this? If it was to get attention, you did a good job, after u had accomplish this why did u still kept goong with your lies people were dying. it was to far now. just tell me Why?????
i just want to know why i want to know how they felt about it, its sad that people died and did not confessed to get out the hanger.

  9. 1)THe message I think Miller was trying to get across was how crazy these people actually were. If you were a witch and you didnt confess to it then everyone hated you and you would be killed, but if you confessed to being a witch even if you were not one they would all love you again.. Just because you confesssed to it. This was alll one big stupid event if you ask me.

2)The character in this play that is static by all means is that judge dude. I think deep down he knew that john proctor was innocent but he let his pride get in the way of his thinking and so he'd rather take a life then make himself look bad because he already killed all those other people. And the character that is dynamic i'd say woudl be Rev. Hale. HE at the beginning was all about casting out all the witches and devils adn ridding the town of salem of all the spirits. But towards the end he realized that all of it was just a huge lie and then went against all of it.

3)I would say that i am most like Rev. Hale, because i stand up for what i know is right and wrong and thats exactly what he did with the whole john proctor elizabeth thing.

4)I'd say what makes this play so popular is that its based on a true story. When people go and watch a movie or play that is based on a true story its easier for them to see and believe whats going on because it actually happened.

5)Abigale...what was the point in all this mayhem that you caused, why did you do it?

I want to know this because it never came out and said it in the movie why she did it. Killing all those innocent people for reasons unknown. IM sure its a question everybody would like to know. I just want to know the reasoning behind it. Why would you go to such great links killing all those innocent people?

6)I loved this play. Mostly because it was based on a true story so i could get into it more, and kind of understand what was going on. Well, one good part of this movie would have to be that naked chick dancing at the beginning...nuff said. Another one would be when abigale took off and left cause i mean everything was better after she was gone. A bad part to me was when john died :/. BY far the saddest part ive ever seen. Another one would be when they took elizabeth off in handcuffs.

*****<Thats 5 stars :D Because it kept me interested the entire time. I never knew what was going to happen next and i love that about movies.

  10. #1 I think the message was dont listen to little kids.
#2 The judges at the end change.
#3 I think I can relate to John proctor. Because, I wouldnt say I did something if I didnt do it.
    #4 Because it actually happend.
#5 Abigail why did you do this, make these lies?? I want to know this because you were responsible for all of these lost loved ones.
#6 I liked it, but i didnt like it. Why? Because it shows how stupid and dumb people were in the 17 to 1800's. And if I ever see them, I am going to tell them. 3*

  11. 3. I would say identify with REV. Hale the most, he gets there on the intentions of hanging witched but when he sees whats really goiong on he wants nothing to do with the court and trys with John Proctor to over throw it.

  12. 1. I think the message that Miller was trying to give was that people in Salem started believing in something small that turned into a huge conflict and caused the life of many innocent people. Once John was hanged and abigail ran away people started believing that it was a lie.

    2. The characters that are can not change would be abigail to the end of the story she kept her lies going to get the people she hated killed without having any regrets. The judges are dynamic because after looking at all the people being killed and said the lords prayer thats when they change their mind on abigail.

    3. I identify most with Reverend Hale because after he understanding that the court is wrong he trys to help John and stay true until the end.

    4. What makes this play universally papular is because of the time it takes place, and describes the life of people of that time and how religion was a big part of an everyday life no matter who you were.

    5. I would ask Abigail what were her reasons for causing all this and yet feeling no guilt after watching all those people hang in front of her eyes and knowing she caused it. How can a person have no such feelings for even an older person.

    6. I liked this play because it was very discriptive on every Act. It showed emotion, sadness, love, and bravery. It also tought a lesson to always stay true to who you are. the parts I didnt like was how everyone waited for something to happen to abigail even if it was being put in jail and nothing happened. I rate this play a 5.

  13. 4. I think what makes this play so popular, is the face that anybody living in a small community, can see this happening, because fear and wrong doing happening to other people attracts us to see aslong as it isnt happening to us.

    5. I would ask abagail is worth killing all these people, to have John Proctor to her self when he doesnt even want her anymore. I would ask this because i would want to see if she has any reasoning to her actions.

  14. 1)The message that miller was trying to get across is that the salem witch trials spread very fast and that it hit them like a "tornada!"<--(hick accent)
    2) I think that the Judge is unchanging because he keeps the attitude throughtout the whole movie. He doesn't take no for an answer and he'll do whatever he has to do in order to keep the devil out of salem. I think that Mary Warren is capable of growth because she no longer has abigail to tend to and to lie for therefore she can become her own person now.
    3) I think i identify with Elizabeth the most just because if i loved someone i would try my hardest to keep them from doing something that could shame them and i would also do everything in my power to make sure that he is happy rather than myself.
4)I think that the way the girls are portrayed makes this play so universally popular. There are girls all around the world that lie in order to get what they want therefore everyone can somehow relate to what the girls are doing.
5)Abigail- "Did you not have any kind of remorse for the people that you falsely accused? Those people had loved ones and you basically hanged them yourself. Why did you do it?" I would want to know this because throughtout the entire story Abigail seems to not care about anyone but herself. We believe that she accuses many innocent people just because she doesn't like them, but i want to know the real reason FROM HER!
6)I liked this play a lot. I probably wouldn't have liked it as much if we had to read it instead of watching it just because i understand things better when i watch. I liked this play because it really made you think about certain things you do, whether it's a little lie or a big lie it always affects the person. It caused me to get mad in some parts too! I wanted to jump through the screen a couple of times and hit abigail. I think that Miller did a fantastic job directing the movie. I think the bad part was at the end when the innocent people were hanged even after saying the Lords Prayer. My favorite part was when Abigail started making all of the accusations.
I would rate this movie 5 stars! Its a really good story and it has a life lesson as the theme! It gets really emotional and sometimes it makes you think that you're standing RIGHT THERE beside them.

this play is good its interesting how they girls cause all this with just lies and no one did anything about it. I did not like it the story the movie was fine just the story,it was sad to see people been hang and been accused of something they did not do. i did not like it because the girls did not get punish for it, nothing happen to them! The good part of this movie was that people did not confess of been with the devil. The had jesus in their hearts. he who dies for him should have eternity life in heaven. i quess that the bes t thing to know that u will be with him Jesus.bad part was that the girls did not get punish for it its the same thing of murder. they should have been hang and gone to hell but again we cant judge no one because if u cant forgive someone then jesus cant forgive you.
I give this play 5 STARS for the story..

  16. 1.His message was that it was a big event in history and it spread through the whole town like crazy.

2.I think abigail is static because the whole time she never goes back and admits that shes lying. she sticks to her lies and makes the other girls lie with her.John is dynamic because he messed around with abigail and later he didnt want anything to do with her. he changed and pretty much regretted it.

    3. Elizabeth is someone i can identify myself as because when she is called into the court to tell the truth about abigail and john she protects him because she loves him . i can see myself prtecting the one i love and going into jail over a lie rather than being free of punishment for owning up to something i didnt do.

4.The fact that its a good story grabs peoples attention because it ridiculous how dumb peoople were and the lies they believed and hanged innocent people. How the story starts and ends is an attention grabber. also the fact that to the day we still arnt sure why the girls lied makes it so interersting.

    5. This question is to the girls why did you do it? Why didnt they just come out with the truth and face the consequences. so many lives would of been saved if they would of changed their lies into the truth.

6.I loved this play because it was a good story and it made me think of what was going to happen if the girls were going to get away with it or get tangled in their lies. A good part was when they are in the court in act 3 and mary warren is telling the court they are lying and the girls start pretending mary is making them say that. also elizabeth is brought into that scene and is questioned about john and abigail. I didnt know if she was going to say the truth or lie and protect him but at the end she ends up hurting him. A bad part was the end because they said the lord prayers and they WERENT SUPPOSED TO DIE!!! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY BABY!
