1:) The characters that arouse my sympathy the most in this act are Tituba and Elizabeth. Both Tituba and Elizabeth express and innocence witch ios crossed and gone agianst in this act. Elizabeth is taken advantage of because John cheated on her with Abby, and in the end is the person it backfires on even though she did not thing wrong.Tituba i feel sympothy for because she only admits to being a witch to calm her accusers and avoid punishment, she is naive in that she thinks all the accuzations will stop after her but instead she becomes the accidental start of a problem she never intended to start.
ReplyDelete2:) The over all atmosphere of the first act is at first rebellion and then it turns into fearful and blameing. the atmosphere is over all a negative and scary atmosphere where anyone is blamed for personal reasons instead of facts.
3:)Millers portrayal of teenage girls is very accurate in that attalessonce offten causes teenagers to act out and rebell agianst what they are told.in puritan societies young women where to be seen not heard and to do everything they were ask to do.naturally teenagers in this type of autmosphere are libal to try to get attention and power in any way possible.
