Label each answer clearly!!!
The person who I feel is Elizabeth because her character is sad she has so many problems first her husband cheated on her by having an affair with their former servant Abgail. Who hates Elizabeth, with all the madness with the evil witches and satan arises and one of the people who's accusing people around town. So who'd wouldn't guess that Abagail wouldn't accuse Elizabeth of being a witch eventually because she hates Elizabeth for firing her and giving her a bad reputation.
ReplyDeletethe person that arouses my sympathy the most would have to elizabeth.the reason for it being that she is getting accused for being a witch just beacuse abigail likes john.i also have sympathy for her because she got cheated on by her husband with abigail.

1. i have the most sympathy for tituba because she beaten over a "he said, she said" situation and it wasnt right because it was for no good reason.
ReplyDelete2. the mood of the atmosphere is scared because all of the girls are scared that abigails going to tell someone that they are witches, and they know that if they tell on abigail, she will hurt them.
3. no, the behavior is not believable because honestly, what girl in her right mind would be dumb enough to "cast spells" on things and drink blood... not anyone i know so no it is not believable to me!!!
2.The overall mood of Act 1 is crazy becuase it shows or tells the towns life and then goes into where it's the beginning of a mad and crazy story where there's rumors and tradegy, plus rage. where weird things are happening and people of scared of what is happening and people are scared of being accused of being a witch in court and having a chance of being hanged!
ReplyDelete1. I think the character that arouses my sympathy the most is betty. The reason being she is an innocent child, forced to beleive that dancing is not a problem. That is until abigail drinks the blood from a animal and forces a curse onto betty. Betty is then put asleep and she cannot wake, but even when she does she is woken by abigail and abused by vulgar words from abigails fury. She is mad because she doen't want the village finding out that she drunk the blood and that she was the one who put betty in a cure.
ReplyDelete2. I think the atmosphere in act 1 is a gulty conscience, no one want's to admit the truth and they are worried for betty and ruth's well being. Also i think the next contributor to this guilty conscience is fright. All the girls are scared that they will be put down by the devil's work.
3. no, not at all. If it were today, people would laugh, but im sure there was a reason being for it back in the day.
1. the person that i think gets my sympathy the most is tituba because she gets wiped for something she belives. thats what i think.
ReplyDelete2.i think the overall atmoshere or mood of act one is a scence of fear and agony.miller creates this fear and agony by freaking out, so every one eles fallows his lead
3.no because people dance all the time and people do not take it for being a witchcraft thing
it's true that you can see it in the girls their acting out and lying to save their necks! And their accusing people who are really innocent like when elizabeth was accused by abagail because abagail hated elizabeth and wanted her gone. And at the end of Act 1 they all confessed because they didn't want to be hanged! Their like a group of girls who formed an evil gang accusing everyone in town that they hate!
ReplyDelete1)the overall atmosphere of act one would have to be suspenseful because of all the things that have happened so far for example the girls dancing and people getting accused for stuff they didnt do. miller uses peoples emotion to show the mood for example when they cry for been acussed and them been scared that there are witches in the villages.
ReplyDeletei think millers portayal of teenage girls behavior is believable because girls usally get what they want. they get away with anything. they accused all the people that they didnt like.
ReplyDelete1. i feel sympothy towards titubia the most because the only reason she admitted to being a witch after she had been whipped and she just wanted it to stop.
ReplyDelete2. the mood of the story i think is fear because the people of salem are afraid of the devil and they want something to believe in for what happened to the girls so they started accusing people of being witches.
3. the girls behavior is believable because they did these things because they were afraid that if they didnt that they would get in truble for what they did in the woods when they got caught so they wanted someone else to get in trouble so they started acting up when titubia admitted to being a witch so she could get in trouble and not them.
1) I feel sympothy for abigal because she has a bad attituitude and gets treated wrong and all the other girls are scared of her but also judge her for drinking the blood of the chicken and he uncle doesn't want anything to do with her he thinks she is an abomination
