  1. 1.I think miller was trying to say that alot of innocent people were killed for things that they didnt do. 2.i think that abigale is the static person in the play because she is mean through out the hole thing and she is accuseing others of witch craft i think that john was dynamic because he admitted to commiting adultry. 3. the charcter that i identify the most is john because he was one of the main charcters and the play seemed to kinda be about him and his wife. 4. i think this play is universally popular because it is based on a true story. 5. Abigale-why would you accuse all of those people of witch craft? i want to no this because iv wondered why she would do that from the begging. 6.i liked this play there was never a dull momment throgh it. through this play i couldnt really think of a good or a bad part through it i thought it was a good play all together. i rate this play at a 4 because it was a really good play and it was based on a true story and iv always have liked things that really happened and not somethin just made up.

  2. 1.I think he is trying portray at message of how bad the court systems were back then and how big of a deal it had gotten. Innocent people were dieing becuase of the girls faking saying they were being accused of witchcraft.
2.I think Elizabeth is the unchanging character she will have a good chacne to grow up and raise John Proctors kids well and she has lots of knowledge to grow into a wonderful godly women
3.I understand John the most because he is the only that is really stating the truth and I think it takes a real man to stand up at the end and rip up the paper with his name on it. He is true man that i can understand with the most
4.This play is popular because it states a serious time back in the day and tells the story about how withces became a problem back in the day
5.Abigail- Why did you put John through all this when he ended up getting hanged and you ended up not getting what you wanted ethier? this questions makes me think why did she do all this lieing just to get john when she got him killed
6.I thought this play was a good play I enjoyed and thought it was a unique story. I would give this play a 5 stars becuase it was a play that i got in to and really ended up enyoing the story a lot.

  3. 1. I think that the message that miller was trying to portray was that salem knew after the hanged john proctor that they have made a bad mistake once they started saying the lords prayer word for word. Once abigial ran away, and after that John Proctor dies, i think everyone in salem know that most of the people were not involved in witchcraft at all.

2.The characters who are static are the girls in the group of accusing everyone of witchcraft, especially abigial williams and mary warren. Mary warren turns on John Proctor at the end of the story because she thinks that abigial will kill and get rid of her once she gets the chance. The characters i think are dynamic are the judges and the proctors. The proctors at the end right before johns death, elizabeth tells john that he is a good man, that he has changed from his past ways. And the proctors are at peace. The judge is dynamic i think because once high ranking people in society are accused, the judge changes his mind about abigial.

    3. I identify with Reverend Hale the most because the whole time this witchhunt is going on he is trying to make the court think about what is going on and trying to tell them that they are making a big mistake

    4. I think becuase its true, and its ironic that makes it so popular. Its a sad and unfortunate story about how a few girls can ruin so many familys lives and put that many people to death without feeling remorse. Plus i think that becuase it was a puritans society makes it even more of a crazy story.

    5. Judge 1 - Why did you believe all of abigials other accusations but not her one about the reverends wife?- i think everyone wants to know this question becuase its almost like hes at fault for believeing her and not beliveing her when it concerns someone higher up in social status.

    6. I liked this play alot i thought it was a very good story, i always knew about the salem witch trials but now i know what really happend. The good parts i thought were in the court and listening to all of the allegations that abigial put up on people. The bad parts i thought were when John Proctor dies and Elizabeth lied in court. I think the movie deserves 4 stars becuase it was a well made movie about something that really happend.

  4. 1. I think that the message Miller is trying to make is how cruel the town of Salem was and how the evil things they did to people all because of the things teenage girls said.

    2. In this story Giles Corey is very static. He was static because he refused to tell the courts anything which led to him getting squashed instead of a hanging. I think that John is the dynamic one because he signed the confession but he ripped it up because he would rather die for what he believed in than live with no honor. I think he was very brave for doing that.

    3. I identify John and Elizabeth the most. I do because they got such a bad break. First Elizabeth has to go through tha pain of her husband having an affair and then the girl he had an affair with turned out to be a psycho which ened in both of them being arrested.

    4. I think this play is so popular because its the fact that all of it is true and you can actually see what these people had to go through.

    5. Abigail-How could you live with yourself knowing so many innocent people died for things you said just so you could be with a man that don't love you? I want to know this because so many people died and she acted as if it did't bother her at all and normal person with a heart would have felt horrible.

    6. I liked this play, but I hated the ending. I think someone should have stepped up and told the truth so all the innocent could have been set free. Some good parts are where Elizabeth and John are hugging and Elizabeth finally forgives Johnn which gives him the courage to forgive himself. A bad part is when John gets hung, but he died with honor. **** I liked it a lot but i wish John and Elizabeth could had been happy together at last.

  5. 1.

    2. i think john is unchanging because he died beleiving what he beleived and wouldnt change his mind to live.
3.john because he is willing die instead of having his good name put up on the church door for confessing to witch-craft when he never comitted the crtime of witch-craft.
    4. because it is about real american history and alot of the stuff reinacted in this play really happened.
5.john. why didnt you just confess to witch-craft so you could be free and not hang for something you didnt do? becaus ei wouldnt die for something that i didnt do nor would i take blame for doing something i didnt do.
6.i didnt really care to much for it because it was kinda boring but then again i kinda liked it because it kinda showed what went on in 1692 in the salem witch trials. i cant really remember any good or bad parts in this play. i would give this play a 3.

  6. 1. That people were killed for no exact reason whatsoever.
    2. John Proctor is a stadic man because he got hanged for "his crime". Abigail Williams is a dynamic person because she runs away when people start suspecting that she lies.
    3. John Proctor: He cheated on his wife but then made things right with her. Then he told everyone at the village so his wife and all the other innocents could be free. Since it didn't work he choose to be hanged other than lie and save himself.
    4. So many innocents dying because some psychotic, attetion grabbing, Lunatics said they were witches; Which they werent.
    5. Abigail Williams: "How does it feel to have your soul stained with so much innocent blood?" Its just very interesting that some one could do that just to save her own skin.
    6. I DISLIKE it. So many deaths for just a "spirit attack" on each one of the psychos(the girls). The good parts i guess were when john said that he had an affair with abigail, you should had seen her face! i was like "smell that? some one just got burned!". The Bad parts were when each one of "the witches" were discomunicated, that was not bad but Cruel. I would give this play a 2 (and i'm being nice). I think and believe that abigail should be found and stoned to death. Since she scaped i rate this poem a 2.

  7. 1. I think Miller was trying to show how rediculous and unbelievable the Salem Witch Trials were and how religous and naive the people of Salem were for believing that the people really were witches. Especially when they hung John Proctor knowing he had admitted and isnt a witch, and they still hung John Martha and Rebecca even though they said the whole lords prayer which witches werent supposed to be able to do. This showed that Miller was showing us that they really were set on hanging anyone that was accused that didnt confess because they were very stubborn.

    2. I think most definately John Proctor was the most static character because no matter what it took, even if he had to die for it, he was sticking to his name and religion by not saying he's a witch. Also, Abigail and her girls were very static because they wouldnt stop what they were doing for anything. And the judge and rest of the court were static because they were keeping the trials how they were because thats their religion to hang any accused. And Giles was static because he stayed hiself and didnt break his word by not telling and he died for it. Elizabeth Proctor was dynamic because she ended up trying to get John to lie even though thats not who she has always been. Before, she would never want him or anyone including herself to lie. Martha was dynamic for a short while and still has potential to do so because she almost turned on the girls to do whats best, and ended up not. Also, Hale was dynamic. He changed his mind about the trials and quit.

    3. I think i identify with the most is Elizabeth Proctor. She is a woman that would do anything for her family and husband, and i would do the same. She also stays true to who she is even though she almost lost it she stayed strong in hard times and i think i would do the same as she did in the play.

    4. Because it was a time in our history that people can't ever forget. It was such an extreme time that now days just amazes people that our people really did do things like this. Its interesting to talk or learn about because their is so many interesting things that happened during these times so people find it to be a time that we need to remember.

    5. Abigail. Why would you do all of this to be with Proctor and then in the end let it all go down for nothing. You wanted him and then you just had him hanged. Why didnt you try to stop it from happening and admit the affair so that he would live if you really were in love with him?

    6. I give this play 3 1/2 stars. I liked learning about it but parts of it were a little bit too unbelievable. I hated that people really were hanged and i hated seeing the kids loose their parents. But some good things were, everyone stayed true to what they really believed. I didnt want John Proctor to die but i liked that him and his wife still loved each other and he did what he had to do to stay true to his name and who he is.

  8. 1.i belive that miller is trying to say that you should confess your biggest crime and not hide it from everyone or else itll comeback and bite you in the booty.
2.john proctor is very static about shuting down abigail because she is ruining his life without her even knowing it. abigail is trying to make it where she has john all to her self but, in doing so she is deleting everyone in her way.
    3.
4.its not really popular because no one ever recommends it or addresses it on the news.
5.ABIGAIL:"why must you covet john and ruin everybodys life whgile doing so?
6.i thought that this play wasn't well finished because it never said where abigail went or what happened to her.GODD PART:judge finally saw the true side of abigail.BAD PART:abigail. RATING:**:it was way too sad, meaning that it needed more action scenes in the play.

  9. 1. He was trying to portray the mass hysteria and stupidity of the people occurying the town.

    2. Revered Hale is a dynamic character in that, in the beginning, he's all gung-ho about the devil and the witches. Then, after he sees John's case and the bias of the court, he quits and attempts to get John to confess as to not be hung. A static character in the play is Abigail Williams, who remains consistantly slutty and evil throughout the entire play.

    3. I identify with giles the most I think, because of how he died before he would betray a friend. Death before betrayal has always been something that I've identified with.

4.because it mirrors crowd mentality and explores the idea of those who are innocent being attacked.

    5. My question is to Abigail. Why did you do this? How could you allow people in your town, people you've grown up around to die because of your lies? Even if it was just because you wanted John Proctor, it makes no sense why you would do all of this, kill so many people?

    6. Although a bit of extended allegory and a little over dramatic at times, this play was really good. I'm not sure how I feel that the explanation (in the play) behind the salem witch trials is a derranged little girl who wanted a grown man, but I suppose it was an interesting connection to make on Miller's part. Over all, I give it 3 and a half stars.

  10. 1.) I think the thing miller was trying to portray was that salem was a very cruel place. They killed many people over things like what they believed in and stupid things little kids and teenagers said.
2.)I think john was the static character because he never belived that witches were in salem and thats what he belived through out the whole story. I think that abigail is the dynamic character beacuse she was always the one calling out names and getting many different people hanged. she was very much capable of growth.
3.) The characters that I identified with the most would have to be john and elizabeth. I pick them because I understand them the most.
4.) I think the play was so universally popular because it was based on something that really happend a long long time ago. based on how really stupid some people can be.
5.) Abigail- How is it that you can go on and live your life knowing that its your fault and that you caused all those innocent people to die with your greedy lies.
6.)I did like this play. I think I liked it mostly beacuse it was based on the salem witch trials. one good part was when john and elizabeth were forgiving each other and hugging each other, but one bad part was the end when he was hanged. Im going to give this play a 4 star.

  11. 1. He was trying to show that the witch trials were out of control. In act 4 many innocent people were killed because they wouldnt confess to witchcraft, althought none of them practiced witchcraft. Abagail ran away and now the whole town was in chaos, and the accused were all hanged.

    2. I think Abagail is static. All she does is lie, and when it starteed to look bad in Salem she ran away. Reverend Hale on the other hand is dynamic. When he first came to Salem, he believed the girls somewhat, but now he fully believes John. He tried to stand up for John andMary Warren when they were testifying against Abagail, and when John was being taken to be hanged.

    3. I think I identify most with Reverend Hale, because I think the girls are lying and the Proctors are telling the truth. Reverend Hale was trying to save innocent peoples lives. Unlike the other judges and Reverend Paris, Reverend Hale actually analyzed all the evidence and came to a logical conclusion.

    4. I think this play is so universally popular, because of how tragic it is. Most people probably cant even imagine this event taking place, but sadly it did. It is hard to imagine what was going through these girls heads, and I think many people find this to be interesting.

    5. I would Like to ask Abagail what was going through her head when she was accusing all the people. After people started being sentenced to hang, she should have came out and told everone that she had done it just to get out of trouble.

    6. I liked the play, it thought it was interesting and it was full of good information. i liked how John stood up for what he believed in, although it resulted in his death. I didn't like how Abagail accused innocent people. I rate this play a 4.
