i think the main conflict in act three is when john has to confess the truth about him and abigail, then they call his wife bacause she can say the truth and they can be safe. When they ask her the truth she lies about john and abigail.if she had said the true they would have been saved

  2. I think the key conflict of act 3 was when john proctor was trying to get Mary to tell the truth. I say this because when they was in the court room them triflen girls where trying to say that mary was a bird in the court room. UM um um, wat a shame. Mary was scared and was standing rite in front of the court. Additionally, they ran into the lake and then, Mary said jhon was witch craft.

  3. #2 John is going through an undergoing test because he had to bring up what he and abagail did together. He has to say it to the court to try to safe his wife. He has to bring the past up.He did it for nothing because his wife lies and its done, they dont get safe.

  4. 1). I think the key conflict in Act 3 was trying to get the court to beleive John. The whole Act is about trying to get the court to beleive that the girls are fakes. I think this is the most important struggle because we as the audience knows Abigail and the girls are faking but we want the court to know.
2). I think Mary Warren is undergoing a test. She is dealing with telling the truth and dealing with the punishment or lieing and getting away with it.
3). The questions help us to know what will happen next. We hear it and somethings clicks in our brain and we have a sense of what is coming next. THe questions do serve justice. They help us understand more about whats going on.
4). I think Abigail will somehow make the accusations die down because she sees that John is about to go to jail. I think she is going to try to help him out and they will make a deal and they will be seen for fraud. I wish they would get hanged or something but as we know from the story thejy get away.

  5. 1. Arguabgly the main conflict in act 3 is the incarcement of Elizabeth Proctor, and John Getting her out, or attempting to. Is the key conflict because John Proctor the protoganist is doing eveything he can to get her out. I believe something else can happen which will be a bigger conflict. Like possibly Abigail being put on trial for lieing.

    2. John Proctor and Mary Warren. John because he has to dirty his name and honor to save his wife. And Mary because she has to overcome her fear of abigail to save innocent people.

    3. Leading question in act 3 shape the play for the most part. John Proctor basicically tells Mary what to say word by word. And the main judge also uses this with Mary. These questions i think are bad because there making john proctor seem like his telling Mary what to say, but its to serve justice and truth.

  6. #2 I think Mary Warren is was through a test. I say this because she was in a hole between her freindship with Abigail and the girls or telling the truth being disowned by them.

  7. 4. The Conflict in act 3 will be resolved i predict by Hale. He believes in Proctor and everything hes trying to do. And he knows enought about the person Abigail is. Hopefully i Predict at then end that Abigail is sent to jail or hanged for her actions. And Elizabeth out of jail delivering her baby.

  8. #3 THe leading questions in act 3 are tricky. John Proctor wants this whole situation to end because he knows its a false. Mr. Hale is the only smart one out of all the judges.

  9. 1. I believe that the conflict in Act 3 was the court believing John when Mary was trying to tell the truth. Even though John had Hale on his side it was not enough to prove Abigail lies false.
    2. The character being tested in this Act I would say would be the judge because there is not enough prove from both sides to see who to believe.
    3. I think those questions do not serve justice because it can go either way.
    4. I think John is going be put in jail then Abigail will tell the truth so he doesnt get killed. Also the judges might be accused as well.

leading questions are when the judge question the girls. He says the question in a way that the girls just have to agree with it, or not.He says questions to abigail like "you said you have seen elizabeth at night? she comes to you in a spirit" An then abigail just agrees with it. and they all believe her.

  11. #4 At the end of the act, i think Abigail is going to find a way to get john out of jail. In the movie when they where arresting john, abigail looked sad and confused. Abigail is going to accuse someone else, but in a bigger lie and start some more ish. :)

  12. 1)I'd say that the key conflict of act 3 is mary warren accusing john proctor of dealing with the devil. Because john is the one trying to overthrow the court and free his wife so of course if he is accused then its goign to be really horrible cause of what hes trying to do. Yes i consider this the most importanat confilict so far because john and REV. Hale are the only ones who do NOT believe in all this nonsense with the girls and since john is being put in jail that only leaves REV. Hale to fight against it.

    2) I'd say Rev. Hale is undergoing a test. His test is, since he is a rev., whether or not to believe in this witchery stuff with the girls adn go against the court. Which is tuff for a rev becuase going against the court is possed to be bad. Or to turn against john and take the easy way out and convict him of witchery.

    3) OK so these questions were used in the court to try and get a specific answer from one of the convicted persons to try adn find out whats going on. These questions affect the action of the play like when the court brought elizabeth in to question her about the affair with john and abigale. SO the court asked elizabeth questions t oget he r to say what they wanted her to say. and they manipuilate the actions of the play. YES

    4) I predict that rev. hale will try and fight to get john outta jail and they will overthrow the court :)..At the end abigale is gonna be sought out a liar and she is gonna get throuwn in jail nad all the girls that followed her are going to turn against her somehow i dont know how but they will cause there gonna get scared. and john and elizabeth and everyone who got convicted by abigale will be set free and the court is gonna feel like idiots and Rev. parrish is going to be thrown in jail too.

  13. 1. In my opinion the main conflict in this act at the end when Mary Warren flips the script on John and accuses him of working for the devil.

    2. John is undergoing a test because he has to dirty his name and tell the truth about having an affair with Abigail to the court to stop all the nonsense going on in the town.

    3. These questions affect the play by leading the audiance to what happens next in the play.

    4. I think they are going to attempt to hang John and Abigail will confess that it was all a lie because she was not intending on John being accused or punished.

i think that the conflict will be resolve when, the judge does something that the girls dont like. then they will accussed him. when it comes to him or his family he will put a stop to it. He will apologize to the family of the hurt ones and then send the girls home. everything will be done. i hope the girls die because the have been such liars and have cause many problems with people they just did not like.Abigail needs a spanken in the face!!! lol or a punch

  15. 1.I beleive that the biggest conflict in act 3 was when john procter admits to having sex with abigail, so they decide to get johns wife to tell why she fired abigail as a maid and she lies so it looks like she is a lier and should be put to death.

  16. 1.The key conflict to me is the proctors against the court. because john and mary have to convince the court that the girls are lying. and elizabeth is in jail for being accused of witchcraft and they bring her in so she can tell the the truth about john and abigail so she is going up to the court but she ends up lying to protect john. no i dont consider the most important confict bc its not what started everything the girls dancing in the woods is what did.
2.John is because his wife is in jail and mary turned it around on him and he is being accused of witchcraft.
    3. I think these questions help us know what is coming next and know what they are going to say. no they dont serve justice because they are giving them the answers they want to hear.pressuring them to say what they want. when they questioned elizabeth about abigail and john the judge is basically feeding elizabeth the answers that he wants to hear.
4.I think the girls are going to get away with it because its so many against none now. john and mary were the only ones going with the truth trying to convince the court but then ary turned her back on john and john is arrested so i think they are going to drop the case and hang the accused.

  17. 1) I think that the key conflict in act 3 is when John takes Mary to the court to free Elizabeth and everyone else who is behind bars because of the girls lies. i think this is the most important part of the story because if Mary warren would've just told the truth then everyone would have been free'd and the people who were actually at fault would have been in jail but because Mary warrens a scardy cat nothing changed!
2)I think that John is the one undergoing multiple tests. His pregnant wife is behind bars, he's being accused of wizardry, Mary lied on him in front of the court AND he has the Abigail affair hanging over his head. That's a lot to deal with in my opinion. He's being faced with a lot in act three.
3)I think that the action of the play is greatly affected by the leading questions.it causes the person to have to make a choice meaning that the action is more fast pace than the other parts of the play.I think it puts a lot of stress on the person, and of course it confuses them. i think of leading questions as reverse psychology! i know that if i was faced with one i wouldn't know what to do.
4)I predicted that John proctor will still be behind bars because he had to confess his affair with Abigail to free his wide from jail. Elizabeth will be freed. Reverend Paris will be confused about how he could have believed the girls and if there really is such thing as witch craft. And i believe that Abigail will get tired of lying and say that she falsely accused everyone and she will be hanged.
