1. I would think that Act 3 is all about the truth. About John telling it to the rest and doing whatever he can to make them believe it. Its very important. Cause it tests whether those people acused of being a witch are or not.
ReplyDelete2. Both John and Abigail are being tested. Abigail cause she is the leader of the faking girls and the court starts to have doubt over her ability of seeing the devil, and John knows the truth and tries his best to prove it to the court.
3. Because the entire story is mainly about how witchs are real. No. Its a waste of time and lifes.
4. John dies and the killings continue, or Abigail or another girl confesses and frees John and the others in jail.
the main conflict to me is the realtionship between the proctor and abigail in act 3 the proctor admittes to adultery but his wife tells a lie and it saves abigial
ReplyDelete1. i think the most important conflict is the fact that abigail is obsessed over her hate over elizabeth. The key conflict to ACct 3 is the end, where john is arrested. It just makes everything so much more interesting.
ReplyDelete2. Elizabeth, John, the judge and Abigail are undergoing a test. The judge doesnt seem to comprehend that the girls are only acting, and he also put elizabeth on a test to admit about john's adultery with Abigail.
3. When the judge had to ask Elizabeth why Abigail was fired, she answered that abi didnt satisfy her and john. The judge tried to find out the real reason, to see if john had been telling the truth. He was using leading questions to elizabeth. However, she still denied the truth.
4. I believe that Abigail is going to go freak out about John's arrest. She's going to try to kill Mary for accusing him. After the reverend quits, people are going to realize that innocent people are going to die. Also, John will come out alive, but Elizabeth wouldn't survive. Abigail is going to be hanged.
1.mary being brought to the court along with the other girls.because the girls make the accusations, without that we dont have a story.no not between mary and the other girls because mary is not a big character as say john proctor.
ReplyDelete2.john proctor is definately undergoing a test right now because he is being accused now.
3.they make it a little more suspensful.they do serve justice.
4.eventually the girls will be caught because something as stupid as this cant go on forever.all the girls who accused people will hopefully be punished. john proctor will go back to his regular life
2 i think abigail, elizabeth, and the proctor is being tested because everyone is trying to find out why abigial is acting the way she is acting and elizabeth and the proctor are being tested on their faith in god are they really good christians
ReplyDelete1. The key conflict in act three is john trying to get mary warren to confess to the court that all the girls are just faking and making up every thing there saying or doing to help get his wife Elizabeth and there freinds out of jail
ReplyDelete2.The girls and john proctor are under going test to find ot if all of what the girls are saying is true or if jonh and mary are telling the truth.and elizabeth under goes a test to see if she can lie.
3.The leading questions affect the action of the play because to me all of the question asked try to make john and mary tell that there sent to overthrow the court and make the girls seem like they are truthful and this makes the play keep going because the questions do not serve justice.
4.The conflict of the play will keep rising until the girls start accusing people high in the church and this will lead to the girls being seen as liers and no one will belive there accusations
1) Elizabeth lying in court aboout John commenting adultery beacuse John has always said she was an honest women and then she disgraces his name. This has to be the most important conflict of the play so far because if Elizabeth would have been honest like she has been herentire life, it would have ended the witch trails.
ReplyDelete2) Mary because she was standing up for what was right and just against all the other girls. having them make up lie and lie about her because she is telling the truth.
3) The leading questions affect the play by making it last longer and longer because now even the honest and faithful people are lying to save love ones. When Elizabeth lied to the court is caused the trails to continue and advance to john being accused. if she had just been truthful than the trails would have been ended.. this is why i believe the questions do not serve justice because the judges will not believe the trails are a mistake so their doing everything they can to prove they are for the right cause.
4) I predict Elizabeth will try confessing saying she lied but no one will listen to her except Rev. Hale. It will come down to Abigal confessing because she doesnt want John being hanged so she confesses to save him.
1.I think the conflict is proctor proving that his wife is innocent.Mr.proctor confessing to adultry after his wife says he didnt mary warren says mr.proctor made her do what she did then he gets accused. so the truth if the girls are frauds or not will be determined.
ReplyDelete2.Abagil because she was the first one to lie and she has to be convincing and not make a flaw in her chain of lies if she does she will be in trouble if they discover she is accusing innocent people.Abigail has to be consistent with the lieing and is under pressure.
3.the whole play is about are there witches in the village and just taking the word from mainly one girl (abigail) isnt justice. Also when john said he commited adultry and elizabeth said he didnt that isnt right to just go with one side of the story.
4.I think the girls wont say the truth everyone in jail wont get out john was really the only one fighting against all this fraud and lies. with him out of the way there is nothing to stop the girls.
1) The key conflict of Act 3 was when Elizabeth lied about her husband commiting adultery. If Elizabeth had told the truth instead of trying to make her husband look perfect she would have probably been released and might not be a suspect anymore. This is the most important conflict of the play so far because if Elizabeth had told the truth it could have ended these trials and they could have found the young girls guilty of making this whole story up.
ReplyDelete2) John is undergoing a test of faith right now. He knows that he and his wife are good people and can't understand why this is happening to them. John could easily give up on saving his wife but he continues to fight to prove she is innocent.
3) These leading questions control the play and the answers of the characters. Elizabeth had not been in contact with her husband since she had been arrested so she had no idea he had confessed his adultery. When the judge asks Elizabeth why she fired Abagail and if it was because John committed adultery, he asks it in a way that she will think her husband will get in trouble. Theses questions do not serve justice because the outcome of these questions are controlled by the person that asks them.
4) I predict that John will be hanged for because Mary Warren accused him of signing the devil's book. I also think Elizabeth will be hanged because now she and her husband are known as liars. In the end, the young girls will get what they wanted. Everyone accused of dealing with the devil will be hanged and the girls will get away with their lies.
1.The most important conflict in act Three is when the elizabeth is being accused of doing all the wrong thing . I think this is the most importanjt struggle because john is trying to do every thing he can to save his wife
ReplyDelete2. John is undergoing a test at this point because his wife is in jail and mary turned it around on him and he is being accused of it all now.
3.Yes the questions serve justice.the questions affect the action of the play bc it all goes into a different mode.
4. John gets killed or about to and they find out it was all abigail so John gets out of it and abigail gets punished.
1. i think the key conflict is when mary warren accuses the girls of lieing . This is the key conflict because now the girls are being accused of lieing and letting people die.
ReplyDelete2. John Proctor is under going a test, he is struggling to tell people about him and abigail. after thinking a tells them he had an affair with abigail and that answers why they would tell lies against johns wife.
3. these questions affect the action of the play by leading a character into a certain answer that the questioner wants. they server no justice and they only seem to pressure a peron into going with the court and not telling the truth
4.i think the proctors and everyone else will be set free, and the court will see that these girls are acting to save themselfs some trouble. abigail will most likely be hanged at the end.
1). I think the key conflict in Act 3 was trying to get the court to beleive John. He has a chance to tell everyone about how fake all the girls are being, and when his wife finaly gets a chance to tell the truth she lies to keep her husband out of trouble.
ReplyDelete2). John is undergoing a test right now because he knows the girls are fake, still he has to fight against them to show the people the truth. Mary then turns everything on John so the girls can keep their little secret and stay out of trouble.
3). Yes, the questions do serve justice. They help prepare us for what might happen next in the story.
4). I think that John will get his day and be able to tell everyone what phonies the girls are. Abigail might even try to help John and get herself into trouble since she had a little fling with him early on in the story.
1. I would say that the key conflict would be that John confesses that he did adultery but yet his wife lied about that. Its the most important because he gets arrested for adultery and says that God is dead.
ReplyDelete2.Abigail and her group, John Procter, and Mary Warren. They are under going a test because John wants Mary to confess that the girls are making up lies.
3. Those type of questions affect the play because they make it very suspenseful and the questions they ask make them act a different way in order to see if they are suspicious of any witchcraft. I would say that yes they do serve justice because if they ask the right questions they can trick people into saying the truth.
4. I would say the conflict would turn out the be that Abigail would feel bad that John got arrested and Abigail might actually confess the truth. Hale might also fight on John's side trying to get the court to believe that Abigail and her group are just making up lies.
1. I think the key conflict in act 3 is people getting accused. Abigail is pointing fingures and accusing lots of innocent people. This is one of the most important conflicts in the play i would say becuase innocent people being accused of something they didn't even do is one of the main things in this play.
ReplyDelete2. A character that's going through a struggle i would say is Elizabeth. The reason i say that is because you can tell in the play that she's upset still about John having an affair. When she has to face court to tell if John did commit adultry or not she lies. I think she lied because she might have been embaressed and still was struggling with that.
3. I think "leading questionns" help give clues to what might happen next, or help you understand better. My intake on leading questions are like what the court did to Elizabeth. They asked her to answer a question they alreasdy knew the answer to, to see if she'd lie.
4. The people of salem are going to find out the truth and see that Abigail and her "friends" have been lieing and accusing people of witchcraft the whole time.
1.The key conflict in act three is when John, mary, and the girls are in the court. This is the key conflict because it is when John is trying to prove his wife innocent and the girls guilty, using mary as a witness.I do consider this struggle the most important conflict so far because it involves the conflicts between all of the main characters and because it puts the thought of dought in the court.
ReplyDelete2.Mary, John, Abigail, and Elisibeth are all undergoing a test. This is because Mary is getting tested on how strong she is, and John is getting tested on his love for his wife, and abigail is getting tested on how well she can suppor her reason for her behavior, and elisibeth is getting tested on how much she really loves John.
3.These questions have a huge effect on the play these type of questions are the ones that that led to some peoples accusations. These type of questions are biased and do not serve justice in any way, because they are aimed at accusing the innocent.
4. I think that in the end the conflict will end up being resolved for good. I think that the judge will realise after so many accusations that all of the good people entering the court are really innocent and that the girls are the true evil ones. I think this because in "real life" the people of salem end up realizing their mistakes and I think the same will happen in the story.
3 The major part of a leading question was when the judge was trying to get the truth out of elizebeth but she still lied about the affiar between her husband and abigail when she lied it affected the play and served alot of justice because it made abigail look inoccent
ReplyDelete1. The key conflict in act 3 is trying to get Mary to confess that the girls are lying. There have been instances where she could've done some simple task that would put an end to all the madness going on; such as just falling to the ground and pretend to be petrefied, but I think she was too scared of the consequences that may have followed so she backed out.
ReplyDelete2. The characters that are being tested at this point are Abigail and John. Abigail is being tested because there have been several accusations of her being "false". John is being tested on his honesty, because he admitted to having an affair with Abigail which his wife ends up saying is false.
3. All of the questions they ask are accusational, because they think that everybody that they're directed to is in fact a witch. These questions actually serve injustice, because they set almost everybody up in a big mess that leads to their confession to avoid hanging.
4. I think that the girls will stick to the original plan, still going along with the whole bewitched theme and get more people sent to jail if not killed. But then there's also that doubt because of the glimpse of Abigail's troubled face when John was taken to jail. All we can do at this point is wait and find out.
1) I think the key conflict is Abigail accusing Elizabeth. Because it just turned everyone around and got John admitting to stuff that no one should know just to get Abigail to tell the truth. I do think that it is the most important conflict because if Abigail would just admit to it all being a lie then John wouldn’t have had to tell everyone what had happened between them
ReplyDelete2) Elizabeth has to undergo the test because she has to sit in the jail thinking about what is going on and who else is getting accused. Then she is brought from the cell to tell the court that there was something going on between Abigail and John. She had to wonder if the court was told about the affair. So there was so much going on for her.
3) Yes it affects the action of the play; it makes it where they don’t know whether to tell the truth or to lie about it. Which in the long run it makes everyone start lying. And it starts to get worse as it goes on. No the questions don’t serve justice because half of the answers to the questions are lies. Justice can’t be served on lies.
4) The conflict in my opinion will just get worse then at the very end it will be solved and everything will get better. It will resolve by Abigail admitting to the lies or John and Elizabeth will just have to confess to witchery. It will be hard for John and Elizabeth while the rest of it is going on but it will get better. Hopefully Abigail will confess instead of John and Elizabeth having to lie for their lives.
1. Act 3 is when they start puttin every clue together and compare the truth with lies, so John starts tellin the truth to everyone and hoppin to belive hem. Yes, i do consider an important part so far, because is when all the truth is goin on and all the drama.
ReplyDelete2. Right now in act 3 Abigail and John are bean tested over the truth. Abigail is liein tryin to save her self from all the trouble she made, and John is tryin to prove the truth behind all this lies Abigail and girls had made up..
3.Cauz of a made up story about Witchcraft was made up. No, because everything is just lies and waist of time also lifes.
4. Later on on act 4 there gonna find out that John has been sain the truth, and that Abigail has been makin lies about seen the devil all this time..
4 I beileve at the end the girls will win the battle because and be free because they makeing everyone good look like bad people like the proctor and elizabeth and people like the proctor and elizabeth have no prof of showing theif innconet because no one is on their sides so they might be hang
ReplyDelete1. I would say that the main conflict could be that john confess to adultery but his wife lies about it. Its the most because he gets mad says that god is dead to him.
ReplyDelete2. JOhn,Mary,Abigial,Elizabeth are the charact5ers that undergo a test. John brings Mary yto court to confess that the girl have lie about everything. Abigial gets test when John tells the judges that he and abigial understud each other. She avoid telling the truth, with that Elizabeth is brougth to court and the judge ask her to tell him the truth about John and Abigial. Elizabeth tell the judge that John AND Abigial never understud each other acourres she lied.
3. this question do not help serve justice because evey one forces the victumn to confess to whatever the girls say or you get hanged.
4. Abigail is going to do something dumb because john got arrested. she is in love with him so she may try safe him.
1. The key conflict of Act III is John trying to defend all the accused including his wife, and bring out the lies that the girls, especially Abigail, are telling, while Abigail is trying to get revenge against John and Elizabeth, by getting her hanged. That's because the majority of the Act is in the court room and wherever else they were while trying to convince the judges that the girls were lying and Abigail is trying to get revenge against John and Elizabeth, by getting her hanged. Yes, because so far in the play, the girls and Elizabeth have been lying and John is really close to convincing the judges that the girls were lying the entire time.
ReplyDelete2. John, because hes trying to convince the judges that the girls were lying, and he has to sacrifice his dignity by revealing that he had an affair against his wife with Abigail, and now she is trying to get revenge against John and Elizabeth, by getting her hanged.
Abigail and the girls, because they have to be able to convince the judges that they really do see all the evil sprirts, which they dont.
Mary Warren, because she isnt sure if she should tell the truth about the girls by saying that she was also lying, or if she should testify against her father by saying that John is forcing her to say all the stuff against the girls, which he isnt.
The judges, because with this series of events, they are not exactly sure what to believe.
3. These questions affect the action of the play by causing people to get nervous and tell different answers than what they really mean, because the questions are somewhat tricky, and getting them to reveal the truth, by something they say. Sometimes they do and others they dont, because they can either reveal an answer which implies something that isnt the truth, or reveal the truth behind a liar.
4. I think that John decided that if Abigail thinks she will be able to get revenge against him and Elizabeth by getting her hanged, and that after she is dead, then John will come to Abigail, then he can just have himself accused, commited and hung, so that Abigail will reveal the truth after he is dead, to save Salem from any more wrongful deaths. I think that right before John is about to die, Abigail will confess out of guilt and everybody will hopefully hang that horrible witch of a person, because she deserves it. Evil witch.
